Jamie et. al., this is a great topic and a great article. Is COD still available? I remember it from many years ago late 70s early 80s, when mail order was the "in thing", sadly at the time was only available I think inland in the UK, due to the zillion foreign exchange regulations that were prevalent at the time.

... I need to open the old box with GB covers I have and take a good look at them.

Until I found this one, I thought 'Snail Mail' was the modern postal system.
