New South African Stamp to be Issued
Just when you thought it was all over, SAPO, apparently, are going to be issuing a new stamp to commemorate the inauguarion of President Cyril Ramaphosa, his second term in office and his first as head of the country in a DA / ANC coalition government.
My contact is SAPC member Danie van Zyl of RSA Stamp, a South African dealer. He writes: "This is to tell you that I have had official information from Philatelic Services that there will be a 2024 Inauguration stamp. As it was not known who would be president no early stamp could be prepared. The Inauguration stamp is expected to be released late September early October. A FDC could not be confirmed but is highly likely. As soon as I have an image I will send you an email." This is as much as I know at present.
So, there remains a twitching of life in SA stamps yet! When I learn more about this issue, I will post it here
