Bechuanaland AAPC
Quote from Jim Findlay on June 10, 2021, 5:26 pmThese are some interesting covers on the Bechuana AAPC.
A comment on page 4: The Egypt Pre-Paid date stamp was issued by the Egyptian Post Office as they insisted that all military mail must go through their system. EPP 101 was with the South African forces probably in Cairo (from FW Benians book). However, EPP 101 was also associated with the SA APO 29 which was lost at the fall of Tobruk on 21 June 1942. I would speculate that the Bechana AAPC were possibly involved with the defenses of Tobruk.
