Queen Elizabeth - a tribute.

Sunday morning, the countryside well groomed.
An early morning sun, sheep, and deer.
The house, golden in morning sunlight.
No stopping, no parking, five pounds if you please.
Meeting place for sports cars, the rich and famous.
‘Thunder’ by name and thunder by nature.
Lines of expensive, low slung bodies,
Wend their way to the meeting point.
Near, yet on a back road, a girl, dressed in blue,
Shoulders, boobs, all assets, well displayed,
Hands out reaching, holding up her evening dress.
She, dumped, surplus to requirements.
Note. Blackpool Thunder Car Club is delighted to announce its 2023 Season Opener “Thunder at Chatsworth” to be held at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, on Sunday 26th March. (Taken from the Internet).

Quote from Jamie Smith on March 29, 2023, 10:08 amMiller's Dale.
Miller’s Dale. 26/3/2023.
The morning, cold and grey,
The mill stream, fast flowing, yet clear.
Grey cliffs, flanking, grey barked trees,
Reaching branches, half green with moss.
The valley floor, ready to explode, with spring,
Marsh marigold and orchid at the ready.
A grey heron, stands silent at the water’s edge,
With resting geese and mallard duck.
Black and brown, white chested, so proud,
The dipper guards his diving rock and walking ground.
From foreign parts a mandarin with a partner, no less.
Stands ready to expand this migrant breed.
All this while, Chaffinches sing, and pigeons coo.
Rooks and crows call across the tight valley,
The odd human walks their dog or climbs the rock.
All this beauty in a cold steel and plastic world.
Do they or others see? I think not, interests lie elsewhere,
In thoughts and deeds that will destroy this world.
