Can anyone tell me what Natal town POA No. 107 refers to? Is there a list of POA numbers with town names? It would be useful if someone could append such a list to this thread. Thanks in anticipation.

As mentioned subsequently, this canceller was used at Van Reenen Railway and Greenwood Park. Reference below:

Herewith an additional contribution on this topic. POA 63 was used in 4 other places before the last record as being in Loskop 1906 to 1907, according to Kantey. Rated RRR by Putzel, Loskop was upgraded to PO in 1907, then up to PTA 1910 & STO in 1911. Possible late (post-1911) use possibly due to the new PO canceller being broken/lost, and replaced by this old POA63 canceller which should have been returned to central stores when superseded. POA 63 - thanks for the credit to me, Mike Berry, but I was not responsible for the listing. The data is however as I also would have given.

Only a pleasure Mike. The item is in my commemorative exhibit, and I had enquired through a third party to elicit more information to the write-up I previously had, which they kindly did on my behalf from you. Many thanks again.

If there is any members collecting Natal postmarks, I have a album of Natal postmarks, I will be happy to let it go to someone who specialise in Natal, since I specialise in Transvaal.

Yes I collect Natal postmarks, pre union. could you tell me a little more about your collection, and how much you would sell at?

Yes, the collection comprises of postmarks of Durban and Pietermaritzburg post office and suburb post offices, covering both pre Union, Union of SA and RSA.  I could scan and email it to you, and if you are interested, we can discuss a price.  So I will need your email address in order to send it to you.

Hello Johan,

Thanks for the into. Unfortunately too wide a period for me as I concentrate on pre-union Natal, and I have deep examples of Durban and PMB. and areas.

But many thanks for the opportunity.

Keep well.
