Not really a collector of these, but there is some information on them in "Stamps of South Africa, Handbook Catalogue". The copy I have is 2nd revised Edition, 1979. There were also numerous articles in the SAP.

Maybe if you have a specific query, I can look it up for you if it is in the catalogue.
